High schools currently participating in the Purdue University Calumet Upward Bound Program activities include:

Hammond, Indiana:

East Chicago, Indiana

Gary, Indiana:

  • Lew Wallace High School
  • Wirt High School
  • Emerson High School
  • West Side High School
  • Roosevelt High School
  • Horace Mann High School and
  • Calumet High School

High school students residing in any of these communities or attend one of these high schools, may be eligible for participation in Upward Bound. Students who do not either live in or near this service area nor are enrolled at any of these schools, may still be eligible for participation in other Upward Bound programs. Upward Bound Programs at nearby universities and "Upward Bound Math/Science" programs are always seeking dedicated students who are interested in a higher education.
