High School Component - Grades 9-12
The High School component consists of providing encouragement and
motivation to participants who want to learn more about seeking a
college education after high school. ETS dedicated staff of
professionals recognizes and is proactive to understanding the
distinct needs of first/generation and low income families as it
relates to matriculation to college. Participants are exposed to an
array of activities and services designed to minimize barriers to
postsecondary attainment. A High School Needs Assessment is used as
a planning tool for Individual Educational Plan (IEP) interventions.
Additionally, ETS utilizes the Self-Directed Search and LASSI
assessment tools to assess participant motivation and guidance for
postsecondary education.
All secondary school participants can expect intrusive monitoring
of academic achievements for compliance with the Indiana Core 40
recommended curriculum.
Additionally, secondary school participants can partake in an
array of cultural and educational activities including; college
visitations, parent workshops, and tutoring/remediation assistance.
