Initiative Component
The Initiative Component is designed to motivate and
encourage middle and junior high school participants to
excel at a maximum academic level to ensure proper readiness
for secondary school. Participants have the option of
attending workshops related to academic preparation,
mentoring, parental support, college planning, leadership
development, community service, etc. Initiative participants
automatically transition to the next level (High School
Component) participation in ETS and are encouraged to enroll
in the 21st Century Scholars Program.
