What you can do at the IMC

The following is a list of typical student activities at the International Media Center.

• Access audio and video materials for your course for use within the IMC
• Have certain audio materials for your course duplicated onto audio or MP3 CDs
• Get free tutoring at the Drop-in Tutoring Table
• View on-line videos for a course
• Listen to on-line audio materials.
• Use language-learning computer software
• Check out self-study audio/video/software materials for use within the IMC
• Use two track audio cassette recorders to record your voice
• Use computers to create or edit multimedia, or do international word processing (spell checking and thesaurus in languages taught at PUC coming in the fall!)
• Meet with your classmates to work on a collaborative language project, or view a video in the video corner.
• Watch international TV
• Read foreign periodicals
• Listen to foreign radio stations.
• Use the computers for multilingual web-browsing, chat, and writing.
• Watch DVD's and video cassettes, including those in foreign formats (PAL, SECAM, non-region 1 DVD, etc.)
