Washington, a Fitness Management major, became eligible
for play in the second half of the season. He played in 15 games and
averaged 2.0 points per game finishing with an even 30 on the season.
Washington’s biggest moment came in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic
Conference season opener as the Peregrines hosted nationally ranked St.
Xavier University. With 12 seconds left in overtime, Washington hit nothing
but the bottom of the net on a pair of free throws that ended up being the
game-winning points for the Peregrines. He scored six points in the game,
which was his high game for the season. His free throws made percentage was
.736 for the season. Washington’s combined statistics for the 2005-06
campaign include 20 rebounds (1.3 per game), 20 assists and eight steals.
