Cruz is majoring in Business Management. He led the Peregrines in rebounding with 193 total, 6.8 per game last season. His 6.0 rebounds per game during conference games was 8th best in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference and earned him an Honorable Mention spot in the conference. He also grabbed 4.18 defensive rebounds per game in conference, which was 7th best. Cruz led the Peregrines in the rebounding department in 17 games, including his season high of 11 in two games. Cruz was also the third leading scorer on the team averaging 13.5 per game. In four games last season he was the leading scorer and rebounder. His best statistical collegiate performance was against Indiana University Northwest when he scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. His overall statistics include 378 points in 28 games, 45 assists, 27 steals and 10 shot blocks.
