Marcia Weller Weinhold is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education at Purdue University Calumet.  After teaching high school mathematics and science for 17 years, she earned a PhD to allow her to teach future teachers. Dr. Weinhold has given national and state conference presentations, as well as local workshops for teachers on using technology in mathematics classes. She has worked as an author and/or collaborating teacher on three NSF-funded (National Science Foundation) curriculum development projects for high school mathematics. Her research interest is in studying the issues teachers consider when deciding when and how to use calculators in their mathematics classes. Marcia teaches PUC courses for prospective elementary and high school teachers, as well as precalculus courses, and she supervises secondary level student teachers.
