Administrative Services' divisions and work units incorporate
changing customer and market requirements and technology into
product and service designs.
Production/delivery processes are designed to meet customer,
quality, and operational performance requirements.
Administrative Services' divisions and work units coordinate and
test design and production/delivery processes to ensure
trouble-free and timely introduction and delivery of products and
services.
Administrative Services' divisions and work units evaluate and
improve design processes to achieve better performance. This
includes improvements to products and services, transfer of
learning to other units and projects, and reduced cycle time.
6.1.b. Administrative Services Production/Delivery Processes
Administrative Services' divisions and work units document key
processes and their principal requirements.
Administrative Services' divisions and work units manage their
processes and maintain process performance to ensure
products and services continually meet customer and operational
requirements. In-process measurements and customer
information gathering are used to assist in maintaining process
performance at acceptable levels.
All Administrative Services' work units evaluate and improve
their production/delivery processes to achieve better
performance. This includes improvements to products and
services, transfer of learning to other units and projects, and
reduced cycle time.
6.2 Management of Support Processes and Services
6.2.a.Administrative Services Management of Support Processes and Services
Administrative Services' divisions and work units determine key
requirements for support processes by incorporating input from
internal and external customers. Support processes are
designed and implemented to meet customer, quality, and
operational performance requirements.
Key support processes and their principal requirements are documented.
Support processes are managed to ensure results continually
meet customer and operational requirements. Administrative
Services' divisions and work units use process measurements
and customer information gathering to assist in maintaining
support process performance at acceptable levels.
6.3 Management of Supplier and Partnering Processes
6.3.a. Administrative Services Management of Supplier and Partnering Processes
Administrative Services' divisions and work units design and
implement supplier and partnering processes to meet overall
performance requirements and helps suppliers and partners
meet these requirements.
Principal performance requirements for key suppliers and
partners are identified. New suppliers and partners are selected
based on these performance requirements. Performance
requirements are met by evaluating suppliers’ and partners'
performance against key measures and expected performance levels.
Performance feedback is provided on a regular basis to
suppliers and partners regarding performance.
Administrative Services' divisions and work units evaluate and
improve its management of supplier and partnering processes.
Costs associated with inspection, testing, or performance audits
are minimized. Suppliers and partners have knowledge of
Administrative Services’ organization, current and longer-term
needs, and their ability to respond to those needs.
