Facts about student housing at Purdue Calumet
The opening next August of Purdue University Calumet's first student housing complex-The University Village at Purdue Calumet-will be a transforming event in our campus history. We believe it will help nurture an atmosphere of campus life and community that will benefit residential and non-residential students alike.
In the interest of clear communication, permit me to spend the remainder of this message relating some key facts about student housing at Purdue Calumet.
FACT... Any enrolled student-whether you attend full time or part-time, whether your home town is near or far-is eligible to live in The University Village.
FACT... The University Village will NOT be a dormitory. Plans call for it to be a complex of fully-furnished apartments-each comprised of four private bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room and dining room/kitchen, complete with cooking range, refrigerator, dishwasher and garbage disposal.
FACT... Within the parameters of each apartment unit being open to Purdue Calumet students of the same sex, you have an opportunity to select the individuals with whom you desire to live.
FACT... For students who receive a financial aid package, dollars that remain after assistance is applied to tuition and fees can be directed to student housing.
