Application Requirements:
Students applying to the Biological Sciences graduate program must submit the following documentation:
- Online application submitted through our website. We accept no paper applications. Applications must be completed in full and submitted before we can begin the admission process. The electronic application can be found on the Graduate School and international student websites at:

- $55 application fee (payable by credit card or check; see electronic application for details)
For Degree-Seeking Students:
The following supporting documentation should be submitted directly to the Department of Biological Sciences at Purdue University Calumet (2200 169th Street, Hammond, IN 46323-2094 (USA))
- Statement of purpose (can be included in the online application)
- Three letters of recommendation (forms can be downloaded from website)
- Transcripts from all universities listed on application (2 official copies)
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores (general: verbal, quantitative and analytical -- no older than two years). Our school code is #001638 for all standardized tests.
International student must also submit:
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores (no older than two years) with a minimum score of 213 on the computerized exam or 550 on the written test. Our school code is #001638 for all standardized tests.
- True and attested copies of academic transcripts with true and attested English translation. True and attested (or original) final diplomas are required. You should provide documents for every institution of higher education you have attended.
For Temporary (Non-degree Seeking) Students:
In addition to the electronic application non-degree seeking students must submit official transcripts (2 copies) that indicate a baccalaureate degree was awarded and the date of award.
