The Campaign for Students

Scales
An urgent Need

We face an unprecedented time in our nation, our workplaces and in higher education. Never before has the need for a college degree been so critical. Never before has the need for scholarship support been so urgent.

Obtaining an education is expensive. The average cost of tuition, fees and books at Purdue University Calumet for an Indiana student taking 14 credit hours per semester, living at home with their parents and commuting to classes is $7,462 per year.

Relatively speaking, that is a bargain – for a first rate Purdue education. For many, though, the cost of education can impede the journey to a better life.

The challenge for students is to make the most of their educational opportunities, balance their lives outside the classroom and pay for the cost of that education.

YOU can help them make that happen.

Students
Make a Difference

A contribution to one of the many existing campus scholarships allows modest amounts to do great things. Each of our schools has a scholarship fund, as do departments. There are scholarships for the academically gifted, such as the Chancellors Scholars Endowment, which now brings more than 50 Valedictorians and Salutatorians to campus each year. The Purdue University Calumet Scholarship supports students with financial need.

One Student at a Time

Annual scholarships provide an opportunity to impact the life of a student by providing an annual gift to the University. A gift of $1,000 or more annually will provide funds to buy most of a student’s books, pay for 4 credit hours and fees or help with the cost of getting back and forth to classes.

With a gift of $1,000 or more annually, comes the opportunity to name the scholarship, allowing you to honor a friend, your family, teacher, colleague, or mentor.

Graduates
Leave a Legacy of Learning

Endowments provide an opportunity to assist students beyond a lifetime. With a gift of $25,000 or more (which may be paid over a period of up to five years), you can create a scholarship investment that will support the educational efforts of Purdue Calumet students as long as there is a Purdue University Calumet.

With your gift comes the opportunity to name the scholarship, allowing you to secure a legacy or forever memorialize a friend, your family, teacher, colleague, or mentor.
